We start with Black Tulip intake and exhaust valves. These superb valves feature the highest flow level on the market. They are one piece forged from a racing grade stainless steel alloy in a hard black oxide finish. Each valve has a bearing quality hardened tip at the end of the stem to prevent premature wear with high-lift applications. The Tulip Valve design also features a 45o angle below the lock groove to reduce the stress in this area and to facilitate the valve seal installation. Each valve is heat treated with a special process and the stem is center less ground to a micro finish for a longer life. The smooth dish face of the intake valves promotes a better combustion in the chamber while the exhaust valves features a thick margin for better flow. All Chambers and radiuses on both intake and exhaust have been optimized for better airflow.
They are fitted into manganese bronze alloy guides. The two principal advantages of this alloy are superior heat transfer and the ability to fit the guides at a tighter clearance for a better oil film control and longer life.
And topped with Viton valve seals that resist higher temperatures and provide superior sealing then the OEM type of seal found in lesser quality cylinder heads.
All these components are controlled with valve springs manufactured from the finest quality spring wire, made from an ultra clean high silicon and vanadium alloy wire, the best alloy available on the market for high lift and endurance applications. They are held with the strongest and the most durable chromoly 4140 steel retainers and anchored by jumbo 10 deg locks for superior valve control.
